01 / materiality

a dialogue between victorian heritage and monolithic stone.

the redesign of the wet zones establishes a quiet dialogue between original nineteenth-century victorian moldings and contemporary monolithic stone surfaces. by layering deep verdant tiles against historic plasterwork, we create a space of tactile permanence.

this structural intervention respects the home's period details while introducing a modern functional clarity. the contrast between the sharp geometry of marble and the soft curves of the restored ceiling creates a tension that defines the contemporary bath experience.

02 / vanity

the double vanity serves as the primary focal point. set against deep emerald paneling, the warm timber cabinetry provides a biological warmth to the cooler stone and brass elements of the room.

the transition

moving from the public areas to the private sanctuary of the bath, the architectural language deepens. the shift into a darker, more saturated palette signals a departure from the social and an entry into a space of quiet ritual.
